Shift-JIS memo - Type and Save Shift-JIS Text Files
Shift-JIS memo is a Chrome add-on that allows you to type and save memos in Shift-JIS text format. With the icon residing in the Chrome bar, you can easily access the memo feature by clicking on the icon. Simply copy and paste text from a text file created in UTF-8 or other formats, and click the save button to generate a download link for a Shift-JIS text file. This enables you to download the text file locally.
This program was created specifically for Chromebook users who want to save Japanese text files in Shift-JIS format.
During operation, the settings for this Chrome extension are saved using the chrome.storage functionality. The settings are stored locally in Chrome and can be synchronized with your Chrome account. However, the auto-save feature for the memo content is only saved locally and cannot be synchronized with your Chrome account. It is limited to the specific device.
Please note that the chrome.storage functionality caches the settings in different locations depending on the operating system and version of Chrome.
